I graduated from Baylor University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and received my Master of Social Work from Baylor University in 2006, with a concentration on Mental and Physical Health. I have been practicing social work since the fall of 2006 and began my social work career at the Waco Family Abuse Center as their children’s services coordinator, where I developed their children’s program. I then worked as a clinical therapist on the child and adolescent unit at the DePaul Center Psychiatric Hospital. I enjoy working with adolescents and adults on issues like trauma, depression, anxiety, anger management, low self-esteem, and behavioral issues. I draw from many different theories, such as acceptance and commitment therapy, solution focused therapy, behavioral therapy, EMDR, and dialectical behavioral therapy. I believe in a holistic approach to treatment in working with clients to help them achieve their goals.
I live in Waco with my husband and twin boys. My family and I are actively involved in our church community, and our Christian faith is a central piece to how we live our lives and interact with others. When I am not busy running around with my kids, I enjoy playing piano, reading, sketching, doing yoga, and being outdoors
